The Bible speaks of UFOs?

Many people believe that the bible is full of stories concerning the existence of Unidentified Flying Objects. I’ll have to admit that a lot of the theories of this make sense, when looked through open eyes. I’m going to post a list that was compiled by a friend of mine named DrMindbenda. There are many entries to follow, so enjoy the read.

To understand what you are about to read takes a very open mind & is definitely not meant for everyone to grasp. We have to keep in mind that when the prophets encountered UFOs & aliens they did the best to try and describe something they witnessed without the knowledge of flying vehicles. The only things that flew in those days were birds & clouds across the heavens/sky. There were no planes, helicopters, blimps, motors, engines, or electrical lights. The only thing they compared their sightings to were that of what was common to them like clouds, chariots, fire & many other primitive descriptions that doesn’t apply to modern thinking man. What was described as “a pillar of cloud”, “pillar of fire”, “wheels within wheels”, “flying scrolls”, “chariots of fire”, “chariots of the gods” would be a UFO, or lit up UFOs that higher beings traveled about in. “Whirlwinds” are a description in the bible of spinning objects when describing the movements of these UFOs. To give you a better idea of “clouds” being used to describe a UFO in the bible please read Psalm 104:3 & Isaiah 19:1. Those two scriptures clearly prove that “clouds” were a form of transportation & not literal clouds. Scriptures provided in comments below.

• Genesis 6:1-4…”Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. And the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.”…..In these passages it clearly shows the first biblical event of aliens/angels (sons of God) coming down from heaven & fornicating with women (the daughters of men). These women became pregnant & bore them children called the Nephilim who were giants. This is impossible if “angels” are spiritual beings. It’s obvious “the sons of God” were carnal beings just like you & I.
• Genesis 15:17…”And it came to pass, when the sun went down and it was dark, that behold, there appeared a smoking oven and a burning torch that passed between those pieces.”
• Exodus 3:2…”And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed.”
• Exodus 13:21&22…”And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.”
• Exodus 14:19…”And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went from before them and stood behind them.”
• Exodus 14:24&25…”Now it came to pass, in the morning watch, that the LORD looked down upon the army of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and cloud, and He troubled the army of the Egyptians. And He took off their chariot wheels, so that they drove them with difficulty; and the Egyptians said, “Let us flee from the face of Israel, for the LORD fights for them against the Egyptians.”
• Exodus 16:10…”Now it came to pass, as Aaron spoke to the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud.”
• Exodus 33:9&10…”And it came to pass, when Moses entered the tabernacle, that the pillar of cloud descended and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses. All the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the tabernacle door, and all the people rose and worshiped, each man in his tent door.”
• Exodus 34:5…”Now the LORD descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.”
• Exodus 40:34-38…”Then the cloud covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. And Moses was not able to enter the tabernacle of meeting, because the cloud rested above it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the tabernacle, the children of Israel would go onward in all their journeys. But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not journey till the day that it was taken up. For the cloud of the LORD was above the tabernacle by day, and fire was over it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.”
• Numbers 9:16-22…”So it was always: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night. Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the tabernacle, after that the children of Israel would journey; and in the place where the cloud settled, there the children of Israel would pitch their tents. At the command of the LORD the children of Israel would journey, and at the command of the LORD they would camp; as long as the cloud stayed above the tabernacle they remained encamped. Even when the cloud continued long, many days above the tabernacle, the children of Israel kept the charge of the LORD and did not journey. So it was, when the cloud was above the tabernacle a few days: according to the command of the LORD they would remain encamped, and according to the command of the LORD they would journey. So it was, when the cloud remained only from evening until morning: when the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they would journey; whether by day or by night, whenever the cloud was taken up, they would journey. Whether it was two days, a month, or a year that the cloud remained above the tabernacle, the children of Israel would remain encamped and not journey; but when it was taken up, they would journey.”
• Numbers 10:11&12…”Now it came to pass on the twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, that the cloud was taken up from above the tabernacle of the Testimony. And the children of Israel set out from the Wilderness of Sinai on their journeys; then the cloud settled down in the Wilderness of Paran.”
• Numbers10:33-36…”So they departed from the mountain of the LORD on a journey of three days; and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them for the three days’ journey, to search out a resting place for them. And the cloud of the LORD was above them by day when they went out from the camp. So it was, whenever the ark set out, that Moses said: “Rise up, O LORD! Let Your enemies be scattered, And let those who hate You flee before You.” And when it rested, he said:  “ Return, O LORD, To the many thousands of Israel.”…..These passages prove that the ark of the covenant was used as a communication device between Moses & God.
• Numbers 11:25…”Then the LORD came down in the cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the Spirit that was upon him, and placed the same upon the seventy elders; and it happened, when the Spirit rested upon them, that they prophesied, although they never did so again.”
• Numbers 12:5…”Then the LORD came down in the pillar of cloud and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam. And they both went forward.”
• Deuteronomy 1:33…”who went in the way before you to search out a place for you to pitch your tents, to show you the way you should go, in the fire by night and in the cloud by day.”
• Dueteronomy 4:11&12…”Then you came near and stood at the foot of the mountain, and the mountain burned with fire to the midst of heaven, with darkness, cloud, and thick darkness. And the LORD spoke to you out of the midst of the fire. You heard the sound of the words, but saw no form; you only heard a voice.”
• Deuteronomy 5:22…”These words the LORD spoke to all your assembly, in the mountain from the midst of the fire, the cloud, and the thick darkness, with a loud voice; and He added no more. And He wrote them on two tablets of stone and gave them to me.”
• Deuteronomy 31:15…”Now the LORD appeared at the tabernacle in a pillar of cloud, and the pillar of cloud stood above the door of the tabernacle.”
• 2 Samuel 22:10-13…”He bowed the heavens also, and came down With darkness under His feet. He rode upon a cherub, and flew; And He was seen upon the wings of the wind. He made darkness canopies around Him, Dark waters and thick clouds of the skies. From the brightness before Him Coals of fire were kindled.”
• 1 Kings 18:44…”Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’”…..This is the first USO (Unidentified Submerged Object) recorded in the bible. A UFO becomes a USO when its no longer flying, but submerged in water. In this case the UFO rose out of the water.
• 2 Kings 2:11&12…”Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. And Elisha saw it, and he cried out, “My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen!” So he saw him no more. And he took hold of his own clothes and tore them into two pieces.”…..This is Elijah’s abduction, never to be seen again by man.
• 2 Kings 6:17…”And Elisha prayed, and said, “LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”
• 2 Chronicles 5:14…”so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.”
• Nehemiah 9:12…”Moreover You led them by day with a cloudy pillar, And by night with a pillar of fire, To give them light on the road Which they should travel.”
• Nehemiah 9:19…”Yet in Your manifold mercies You did not forsake them in the wilderness. The pillar of the cloud did not depart from them by day, To lead them on the road; Nor the pillar of fire by night, To show them light, And the way they should go.”
• Job 37:15&16…”Do you know when God dispatches them, And causes the light of His cloud to shine? Do you know how the clouds are balanced, Those wondrous works of Him who is perfect in knowledge?”
• Psalm 18:9-12…”He bowed the heavens also, and came down With darkness under His feet. And He rode upon a cherub, and flew; He flew upon the wings of the wind. He made darkness His secret place; His canopy around Him was dark waters And thick clouds of the skies. From the brightness before Him, His thick clouds passed with hailstones and coals of fire.”
• Psalm 68:17…”The chariots of God are twenty thousand, Even thousands of thousands; The Lord is among them as in Sinai, in the Holy Place.”
• Psalm 78:14…”In the daytime also He led them with the cloud, And all the night with a light of fire.”
• Psalm 78:23-25…”Yet He had commanded the clouds above, And opened the doors of heaven, Had rained down manna on them to eat, And given them of the bread of heaven. Men ate angels’ food; He sent them food to the full.”…..Obviously real clouds don’t do this.
• Psalm 99:7…”He spoke to them in the cloudy pillar; They kept His testimonies and the ordinance He gave them.”
• Psalm 104:3…”He lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters, Who makes the clouds His chariot, Who walks on the wings of the wind,”…..This scripture proves that God makes the “clouds” His chariot. Basically a vehicle of transportation.
• Isaiah 4:5…”then the LORD will create above every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and above her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night. For over all the glory there will be a covering.”
• Isaiah 6:1&2…”In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.”
• Isaiah 19:1…”The burden against Egypt. Behold, the LORD rides on a swift cloud, And will come into Egypt; The idols of Egypt will totter at His presence, And the heart of Egypt will melt in its midst.”…..This is another passage that proves God uses “clouds” as a form of transportation by showing that “the LORD rides on a swift cloud”.
• Isaiah 60:8…”Who are these who fly like a cloud, And like doves to their roosts?”…..this passage gives an example on how the prophets used the analogy of a “cloud” to describe a flying object by stating “Who are these who fly LIKE a CLOUD.”
• Jeremiah 4:13…”Behold, he shall come up like clouds, And his chariots like a whirlwind. His horses are swifter than eagles. Woe to us, for we are plundered!”…..This passage shows how “chariots” are like whirlwinds, or simply vehicles that spin.
• Lamentations 3:44…”You have covered Yourself with a cloud, That prayer should not pass through.”
• The book of Ezekiel is the most compelling & fascinating books of all when describing what is believed to be UFOs & aliens. Ezekiel 1:4-28…”Then I looked, and behold, a whirlwind was coming out of the north, a great cloud with raging fire engulfing itself; and brightness was all around it and radiating out of its midst like the color of amber, out of the midst of the fire. Also from within it came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: they had the likeness of a man. Each one had four faces, and each one had four wings. Their legs were straight, and the soles of their feet were like the soles of calves’ feet. They sparkled like the color of burnished bronze. The hands of a man were under their wings on their four sides; and each of the four had faces and wings. Their wings touched one another. The creatures did not turn when they went, but each one went straight forward. As for the likeness of their faces, each had the face of a man; each of the four had the face of a lion on the right side, each of the four had the face of an ox on the left side, and each of the four had the face of an eagle. Thus were their faces. Their wings stretched upward; two wings of each one touched one another, and two covered their bodies. And each one went straight forward; they went wherever the spirit wanted to go, and they did not turn when they went. As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches going back and forth among the living creatures. The fire was bright, and out of the fire went lightning. And the living creatures ran back and forth, in appearance like a flash of lightning. Now as I looked at the living creatures, behold, a wheel was on the earth beside each living creature with its four faces. The appearance of the wheels and their workings was like the color of beryl, and all four had the same likeness. The appearance of their workings was, as it were, a wheel in the middle of a wheel. When they moved, they went toward any one of four directions; they did not turn aside when they went. As for their rims, they were so high they were awesome; and their rims were full of eyes, all around the four of them. When the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them; and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up. Wherever the spirit wanted to go, they went, because there the spirit went; and the wheels were lifted together with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels. When those went, these went; when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up together with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels. The likeness of the firmament above the heads of the living creatures was like the color of an awesome crystal, stretched out over their heads. And under the firmament their wings spread out straight, one toward another. Each one had two which covered one side, and each one had two which covered the other side of the body. When they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of many waters, like the voice of the Almighty, a tumult like the noise of an army; and when they stood still, they let down their wings. A voice came from above the firmament that was over their heads; whenever they stood, they let down their wings. And above the firmament over their heads was the likeness of a throne, in appearance like a sapphire stone; on the likeness of the throne was a likeness with the appearance of a man high above it. Also from the appearance of His waist and upward I saw, as it were, the color of amber with the appearance of fire all around within it; and from the appearance of His waist and downward I saw, as it were, the appearance of fire with brightness all around. Like the appearance of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the brightness all around it. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD.”….Note: whirlwind/spinning object, creatures with the likeness of man/aliens, wheels/UFOs, their rims were full of eyes/glass windows, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of many waters/a motor, from the waist upward it was the color of amber & from the waist downward the appearance of fire/a craft that is taking off, or landing. This is a perfect example of a man trying to describe an object and beings that was foreign to him. The technology of a motor, glass windows, or even flying vehicles was nonexistent at the time.
• Ezekiel 3:12-14…”Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me a great thunderous voice: “Blessed is the glory of the LORD from His place!” I also heard the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched one another, and the noise of the wheels beside them, and a great thunderous noise. So the Spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the LORD was strong upon me.”…..Note: Ezekiel is calling the UFO a creature because it’s alive to him. Ezekiel called both the aliens & UFOs creatures. Again he describes the sound of the UFO as “a great thunderous noise”. This is also Ezekiel’s first abduction.
• Ezekiel 8:2&3…”Then I looked, and there was a likeness, like the appearance of fire—from the appearance of His waist and downward, fire; and from His waist and upward, like the appearance of brightness, like the color of amber. He stretched out the form of a hand, and took me by a lock of my hair; and the Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven, and brought me in visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the north gate of the inner court, where the seat of the image of jealousy was, which provokes to jealousy.”…..Again Ezekiel describes an object with the color of amber on top & fire at the bottom. Ezekiel’s second abduction.
• Ezekiel Chapter 10…”And I looked, and there in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubim, there appeared something like a sapphire stone, having the appearance of the likeness of a throne. Then He spoke to the man clothed with linen, and said, “Go in among the wheels, under the cherub, fill your hands with coals of fire from among the cherubim, and scatter them over the city.” And he went in as I watched. Now the cherubim were standing on the south side of the temple when the man went in, and the cloud filled the inner court. Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and paused over the threshold of the temple; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD’s glory. And the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard even in the outer court, like the voice of Almighty God when He speaks. Then it happened, when He commanded the man clothed in linen, saying, “Take fire from among the wheels, from among the cherubim,” that he went in and stood beside the wheels. And the cherub stretched out his hand from among the cherubim to the fire that was among the cherubim, and took some of it and put it into the hands of the man clothed with linen, who took it and went out. The cherubim appeared to have the form of a man’s hand under their wings. And when I looked, there were four wheels by the cherubim, one wheel by one cherub and another wheel by each other cherub; the wheels appeared to have the color of a beryl stone. As for their appearance, all four looked alike—as it were, a wheel in the middle of a wheel. When they went, they went toward any of their four directions; they did not turn aside when they went, but followed in the direction the head was facing. They did not turn aside when they went. And their whole body, with their back, their hands, their wings, and the wheels that the four had, were full of eyes all around. As for the wheels, they were called in my hearing, “Wheel.” Each one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, the second face the face of a man, the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle. And the cherubim were lifted up. This was the living creature I saw by the River Chebar. When the cherubim went, the wheels went beside them; and when the cherubim lifted their wings to mount up from the earth, the same wheels also did not turn from beside them. When the cherubim stood still, the wheels stood still, and when one was lifted up, the other lifted itself up, for the spirit of the living creature was in them. Then the glory of the LORD departed from the threshold of the temple and stood over the cherubim. And the cherubim lifted their wings and mounted up from the earth in my sight. When they went out, the wheels were beside them; and they stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD’s house, and the glory of the God of Israel was above them. This is the living creature I saw under the God of Israel by the River Chebar, and I knew they were cherubim. Each one had four faces and each one four wings, and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings. And the likeness of their faces was the same as the faces which I had seen by the River Chebar, their appearance and their persons. They each went straight forward.”…..Another very detailed description of a UFO by Ezekiel.
• Ezekiel 11:1…”Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the East Gate of the LORD’s house, which faces eastward; and there at the door of the gate were twenty-five men, among whom I saw Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.”…..Note: the Hebrew translation of the word spirit is “wind”. Spirit has nothing to do with a ghostly presence. Ezekiel’s third abduction.
• Ezekiel 43:1-5…”Afterward he brought me to the gate, the gate that faces toward the east. And behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east. His voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shone with His glory. It was like the appearance of the vision which I saw—like the vision which I saw when I came to destroy the city. The visions were like the vision which I saw by the River Chebar; and I fell on my face. And the glory of the LORD came into the temple by way of the gate which faces toward the east. The Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court; and behold, the glory of the LORD filled the temple.”…..Knowing the translation of the word “spirit” is “wind”, this is Ezekiel’s fourth abduction. An abduction is an event in which you are taken to a certain place without your consent. Unlike Elijah’s abduction in 2 Kings 2:11 where he was never brought back & never seen again by man, Ezekiel was brought back after his occurrences.
• Daniel 4:13…”I saw in the visions of my head while on my bed, and there was a watcher, a holy one, coming down from heaven.”…..The term “watcher” was first used in ancient Sumer. Shumer or Sumer literally translates to “land of the watchers”. The entire creation story in Genesis was taken from Sumerian scripture. The Sumerians spoke of a race of beings called the Anunnaki which translates to “those who from heaven to earth came”. The Anunnaki were the gods/Elohim the book of Genesis speaks of who made the first perfected human called Adapa/Adam in Sumer/land of the watchers.
• Daniel 4:23…”And inasmuch as the king saw a watcher, a holy one, coming down from heaven and saying, ‘Chop down the tree and destroy it, but leave its stump and roots in the earth, bound with a band of iron and bronze in the tender grass of the field; let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let him graze with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him’;”…..Again the term “watcher” is used. The term “watcher” can be found in the KJV & NKJV, the NIV changed this to “messenger”.
• Daniel 9:21…”yes, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, reached me about the time of the evening offering.”
• Zechariah 5:1&2…”Then I turned and raised my eyes, and saw there a flying scroll. And he said to me, “What do you see?” So I answered, “I see a flying scroll. Its length is twenty cubits and its width ten cubits.”…..Note: the flying scroll, or what Ufologist call a cigar shaped UFO measures 30 ft long & 15 ft wide.
• Zechariah 6:1-5…”Then I turned and raised my eyes and looked, and behold, four chariots were coming from between two mountains, and the mountains were mountains of bronze. With the first chariot were red horses, with the second chariot black horses, with the third chariot white horses, and with the fourth chariot dappled horses—strong steeds. Then I answered and said to the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?” And the angel answered and said to me, “These are four spirits of heaven, who go out from there station before the Lord of all the earth.”
• Matthew 17:5…”While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!”…..Note: even in the New Testament the term “cloud” is used. In this case it’s described as a “bright cloud”.
• Matthew 26:64…”Jesus said to him, “It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.”…..Again this is a passage that describes “clouds” as a form of transportation. “coming ON the clouds of heaven.
• Mark 9:7…”And a cloud came and overshadowed them; and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!”
• Mark 13:26&27…”Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then He will send His angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven.”…..The term “angel” is just the primitive term for extraterrestrial.
• Mark 14:62…”Jesus said, “I am. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.”
• Luke 9:34&35…”While he was saying this, a cloud came and overshadowed them; and they were fearful as they entered the cloud. And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!”…..What’s fascinating about this scripture that differs from the other gospels is that it mentions they entered the cloud.
• Luke 21:27…”Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.”
• Acts 1:9-11…”Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”…..These scriptures are the only ones that tell how Jesus ascended into heaven. The gospels tell you he ascended, but not how. Here it clearly states “a cloud received Him out of their sight”. Again a “cloud” is a form of transportation as it was in the Old Testament.
• Acts 10:9-16…”The next day, as they went on their journey and drew near the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour. Then he became very hungry and wanted to eat; but while they made ready, he fell into a trance and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet bound at the four corners, descending to him and let down to the earth. In it were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air. And a voice came to him, “Rise, Peter; kill and eat.” But Peter said, “Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.” And a voice spoke to him again the second time, “What God has cleansed you must not call common.” This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again.”…..Here Peter described the object as “an OBJECT like a great sheet bound at the four corners”. The object ascended & descended from heaven three times. An obvious Unidentified Flying OBJECT at a time when there were no flying vehicles.
• 1 Corinthians 10:1&2…”Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea,”…..Here Paul is just recapping what took place in the book of Exodus.
• 2 Corinthians 12:1-4…”I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a one was caught up to the third heaven. And I know such a man—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows— how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.”…..In these passages Paul mentions three heavens. The word “heaven” tranlates to “sky”, not a ghostly kingdom. Heavens were also what the ancients called celestial bodies such as planets. Planets would be considered heavens. These passages clearly state that Paul knew of a man who was caught up to the third heaven. Paul is describing a man who was abducted & taken to the third heaven.
• 1 Thessalonians 4:16&17…”For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.”…..These are the infamous “rapture” scriptures. Nowhere does it state we will go to heaven for earth is our heaven. Here Paul mentions being “caught up together with them in the CLOUDS to meet the Lord in the air”.
• Revelation 1:7…”Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.”
• Revelation 10:1…”I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire.”…..This scripture is an obvious description of a craft complete with “his feet like pillars of fire”, or fire coming from beneath it like in the book of Ezekiel.
• Revelation 11:12…”And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them.”…..Once again a “cloud” is used as a form of transportation.
• Revelation 14:14…”Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle.”
• There are other accounts in the bible that deal with this phenomena, I chose the most obvious ones. The other accounts are subject to debate & are not as specific as the scriptures above. The other passages in the bible can be taken either way, literally, or metaphorically. I would like to think these scriptures are self explanatory.
