Let’s pray to an imaginary being in the sky. Louisiana lawmakers turn to god in an attempt to stop the Gulf oil spill.

Louisiana state senators have named today the day for citizens to ask God for help, “Thus far efforts made by mortals to try to solve the crisis have been to no avail,” state Sen. Robert Adley said in a statement released after last week’s unanimous vote for the day of prayer. “It is clearly time for a miracle for us.”

You have got to be kidding me, bp doesn’t give a shit, the government doesn’t seem to give a shit, SO LET’S GO back and ask good old God for help. Is it just me or is this one of the stupidest request made? Come on now, people’s lives are going down the drain in a oily swirl and these idiots are relying on an invisible being to fix everything! This is ridiculous and a prime example of one of the major problems with this country. Damnit! Get off your ass Senators and go down there and demand this shit be fixed, don’t waste time sitting around crying and praying for God to fix it. Besides isn’t there a little thing called SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE? I’m not sure you people even know what your jobs are much less the stupidity in what all of you have just done.
